The excuse is simple, Matti's birthday. Today he is 16. All his Rugby mates and an outsider, a Basketball player came over to celebrate. I'll never cease to amaze at the beauty, purity and sincerity of these guys. How gentle, strong, stubborn but also humble they are. How little they take seriously one another and each one, himself.
Maybe is that they had great teachers. Teachers, Parents, Families and Coaches. Maybe we were just lucky. Maybe there is a bright star shining over our lives and we got so lucky to have you, guys, each one of you.
Matti, I feel immensely happy and proud of the young man you are becoming. Of the decisions that make you what you are, of all the strenght that you are able and the empathy you can feel.
My life would be empty without you.
I love you.
