Tell us about it!
The 8 of us had such an incredible time! Your home, your personality and your family were so warm and welcoming. The cooking class was so much fun and the meal we shared together was one of our favorite meals in Cortona!
Go to Alessandra's personal home and magically create a multi course feast while enjoying more espresso, maybe some wine....cap it off with an evening of great conversation, incredible food, and as much Tuscan magic that you've ever wanted. Alessandra, we miss you...
Alessandra is at your side if need be, or just a friendly reminder from across the room. She is compassionately warm, very patient (unless you keep over stirring the risotto...lol), hysterically opinionated, and a very, very good chef. Just go!
More colourful than Gordon Ramsay, more skilful than Jamie Oliver and more sexy than Nigella. Alessandra has some wonderful stories to tell and is entertaining as well as knowledgeable not only about cooking but about the history of Italy and Tuscany.
hey Alessandra! So glad to have met you and taken your class! I think I am still full! so delicious. we went back to the hostel and slept for 3 hours and didn't need dinner (of course). Hanna and Ursula from LA
Loved the class! We had such a good time & met wonderful friends. You were a true find- 1 of the best parts of the trip! Greg and Donna
Alessandra was definitely a highlight of our trip! She is one of the funniest people we have ever met. We spent 12 hours with her, by the time we left , we were full of delicious Italian food and wine, had numerous recipes which we have been making once a week since our return and officially part of her family. She was the best!!!"
Unbelievable experience, and the food was excellent. Thank you, Alessandra, from Becky and her group. You are a great lady, and a very talented cook. We took away fun memories of our day with you, and will recommend you to everyone we know that will be visiting your beautiful region. Grazie mille!
Brent and I had such a great spending the day cooking, chatting, eating, drinking, and laughing with you! It was a definite highlight of our honeymoon. We're still laughing about Richard's exclamations of "Amazing!" and "Wow!" throughout the day. Isn't it a small world that one of my congregants also took your wonderful class?!
My father was looking at the pictures last night from the cooking class and he was remembering what a good time he had how much he enjoyed everything. And I guess this picture speaks for itself on how happy my husband was...
Hello Alessandra, just saying thanks for our experience with you - it was most enjoyable, more then a cooking lesson and absolutely perfect for our family! This in the picture enjoying the olive's meatball is Dayle.
Thank you so much for such a memorable day. This was, by far, the best day I've spent in Italy. The food was fantastic, of course. But the company was what made it so special. Lou and Sandra, and Laura and Tina were so dear. But spending the day with you was very special to me personally. You are a pleasure and a joy to be with. Sometimes we run across people who leave a permanent mark on our lives. You have done that for me. P. S. Oh yeah. I can't wait to go home and begin cooking!!!
I dragged my reluctant husband, who had gone to Italy to make pilgrimages to motor sports shrines, to this one day cooking class, and I do not think I have to tell you who had the most fun in the class!
This is not a fussy tech class. It was a full day of family cooking, from the produce shopping, herb picking, and fresh egg gathering, all the way through making our own raviolis. Good food, good company, a perfect day. Thanks, Alessandra! We can't wait to return. In the picture, Heyley and Iain make ravioli.
Wonderful day experiencing true Italian cooking (and lifestyle) with the delightful Alessandra Federici.
It was Alessandra's quiet and unassuming professional presence that made the whole day seemed light and easy. Dirty knives, bowls and dishes seemed to disappear and her reassurance of what we were doing was "perfecto" or "bravo". The only thing better than the food itself was the pleasure of spending the day with someone as delightful and knowledgeable as Alessandra.
This was hands down one of our favorite days and so worth every penny we spent. We had such a wonderful time meeting Alessandra, cooking with her, talking to her, and making a new friend. Enjoying what we had done with great wine and great people was a bonus!
It was really a pleasaure to meet you, and I am grateful that we have stayed connected.
There are so many (nice.....beautiful!!!) things I could say about my experiences in your kitchen, but this photo really speaks of the love, friendship, fun and knowledge that so many lucky people have found in your kitchen, while enjoying wonderful food and wine... I thank you again for adding to my love of Italy, its food, culture and people. Xxxxx
Alessandra is a hoot! The day spent with her is not just about cooking (which is amazing), but also about sitting back, relaxing, and learning about Italy from the perspective of a true Italian. For the best experience, be sure to come with an open mind and empty stomach. Alessandra will have you laughing, crying, and cooking up a storm in her lovely home. My wife and I will never forget this day!
What is better than a day in Tuscany? It is spending that day in the kitchen with you! Cooking with you in your home. Starting 'school' by first sitting in the square sharing a cappuccino. Going with you to your favorite butcher and fruit and vegetable vendor. Being in your home, a real Italian home where you and your family talk, eat and entertain Grazie mille again for such a special day!
I wanted to thank you for such a fun cooking class last week. We really enjoyed that day, one of the best times of the week ... A great experience we'll never forget. I'm still dreaming of those delicious olives. Illness or not, you really are an inspiration: You have such a warm spirit and a wicked sense of humour.
